Description

Detailed botanical surveys of specific meadows and pasture fields in order to place the grassland resource within the scheme of the National Vegetation Classification system and to evaluate its nature conservation importance.

Purpose

The data was gathered as part of a planning application for the Bardon Hill estate.

Method steps

  1. This data was captured by Bob Edmonds BSc (Hons) CEnv MIEEM of SLR Consulting using NVC survey methodology. Quadrats were sited in representative and homogeneous stands of each vegetation type and vegetation data were recorded for each quadrat.
