Description

occurrence data of hover flies specimens at the natural history collection of the National museums of Kenya. This comprises of both historical and current data. The taxonomic information is up-to-date as the entire collection was checked by an expert of the African species prior to publishing. Data was mined from the specimen labels into excel spreadsheets as provided by GBIF, georeferenced using Geolocate and validated using GBIF Data Validator

This is the complete occurrence data of historical records of hover flies at the natural history collections of the National Museums of Kenya. The data comprises of only dried and pinned specimens
