Original provider: Mackay & District Turtle Watch Association Dataset credits: Data provider James Cook University Originating data center Satellite Tracking and Analysis Tool (STAT) Project sponsor or sponsor description The project was generously funded by The Mackay Regional Council and is supported by the volunteers of Mackay & District Turtle Watch Association and students of James Cook University. Abstract: The project is an initiative of Ken Griffin, Secretary of Mackay and District Turtle Watch Association. It is a collaboration between Mackay & District Turtle Watch Assoc. and James Cook University to understand the behaviour of flatback turtles in Central Queensland. The four turtles were named by children of local schools. Supplemental information: Visit STAT's project page for additional information. This dataset is a summarized representation of the telemetry locations aggregated per species per 1-degree cell.
