Description

O herbário ISE, cuja sigla representa a cidade de Itabaiana (I) e o estado de Sergipe (SE), onde está localizado, foi criado no dia 17 de abril de 2012. O herbário ISE foi criado exclusivamente para ser depositário de coleções de fungos liquenizados (liquens), compreendendo um total de cerca de 16.000 espécimens (exsicatas), principalmente de liquens corticícolas crostosos, provenientes de diversos biomas brasileiros como a Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Caatinga, Restingas e Mangues.
