The dataset contains location data of preserved specimens in the icipe collection of the Tsetse flies of genus Glossina. Tsetse flies, correctly just Tsetse, are the insect vector for a number of disease, such as the Sleeping Sickness in humans or Surra and Nagana in cattle, antelopes, horses and others. The protozoan actually causing the disease is a species of Trypanosoma, causing a trypanosomiasis.Sampling Description
