distribution
Distribution. Northern and Central Asia, including Siberia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and the northern Far East (Goncharova et al., 1991). It is widely distributed in Asiatic Russia excluding the northernmost latitudes. Recorded in Central Yakutia and Kamchatka (Nikulina, 2004).

Type locality. Northern China (without exact locality). Type specimens. The Vitzthum collection is kept in Zoologische Sammlung des Bayerischen Staates München (Germany). Type host. Roborowski’s hamster, Phodopus roborowskii (Satunin, 1903) = Phodopus bedfordiae (Thomas, 1908), and Dipus sowerbyi Thomas, 1908. Principal hosts. In Asiatic Russia — two species of hamsters: Cricetulus barabensis (Pallas, 1773), and Phodopus sungorus (Pallas, 1773) (Goncharova & Buyakova, 1962). Also, it is more or less common in nests of the narrow-headed vole, Microtus gregalis (Pallas, 1779) in Transbaikalia (Goncharova et al., 1991).
