This five-day workshop will focus on practical data mobilization for Lithuania, guiding participants through the full process from identifying datasets to publishing them through GBIF.
The programme follows the workflow of data mobilization, including data discovery and assessment, data cleaning and standardization, metadata creation, application of Darwin Core standards, use of the IPT for publishing, and dataset validation and quality control. Through a combination of short presentations, structured hands-on sessions, and group discussions, participants will work directly with Lithuanian biodiversity datasets and develop concrete outputs ready for publication. The workshop will also address practical approaches to sustaining long-term FAIR data publishing and reuse in Lithuania.
