    2 September 2026 – 3 September 2026
    Hotel SP34, Copenhagen, Denmark

In collaboration with the GBIF Secretariat, DanBIF is hosting a one-and-a-half-day workshop in Copenhagen, where participants can learn how to increase the visibility and reuse of their biodiversity data by publishing it through GBIF using the Metabarcoding Data Toolkit (MDT).

When datasets are published through GBIF, each published dataset is assigned a DOI, enhancing discoverability, reuse and citation. Sharing biodiversity data through GBIF via the Danish eDNA portal also enables streamlined visualization and exploration, supporting research, policy and decision-making at local, national and global scales. Open access biodiversity data plays a critical role in informing international initiatives such as the CBD, IPBES, and IUCN Red-Listing.

This event is by invitation only and is supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
