This project will inventory data generated from REDD+ pilot projects in Tanzania, to establish the state of the data holdings, the formats that data are held in, and the level of data digitization and access. The information will be captured as metadata that TanBIF – the Tanzania Biodiversity Information Facility, will use to prioritize data mobilization. The inventory will also help to engage REDD+ partners in TanBIF activities.

Occurrence records, checklists and sampling-event datasets will be mobilized and published through the TanBIF portal and GBIF.org. These data will help REDD+ partners identify priority areas for investment in conservation.
