This project will mobilize more than 70,000 data records on the plant diversity of Gabon from the specimen collection of the National Herbarium of Gabon, from forest inventories, old journals and unpublished reports. Taxonomic information will be updated and additional data will be mobilized in collaboration with research centres and museums in Belgium, France, Netherlands and the USA, as some of the activities to set up a digital herbarium.

Data from partner databases will be integrated into the database of the National Herbarium and shared via GBIF to help governmental and non-governmental organizations develop effective biodiversity conservation strategies.
