Description
Jyvaskyla University Museum - the Section of Natural Sciences serves as a preservation unit for natural scientific research and displays environmental subjects and research material. It takes care of the plants in the botanical garden, located on the campus. It also receives found carcasses of wild animals and prepares scientific specimens of them. The section has a collection of over 230 000 specimens, invertebrates, plants and mosses being the most numerous.
