The Sutton Hoo Estate near Woodbridge encompasses acid grassland, a variety of woodlands, saltmarsh and estuarine mudflats. Records in this dataset are derived from information submitted to The National Trust property. The majority of the data were collected by staff, volunteers and from visiting experts.Purpose
The data were, and continue to be, acquired to compile the species list of Sutton Hoo. Species data are also used to assess the conservation status of the property and the effects of changes in the site management or environment.Sampling Description
Quality Control
The quality and depth of data held are variable between taxonomic groups and there are no data for several taxa. Vascular plants have been recorded more thoroughly.Method steps
- The records include observations of species from fieldwork and submitted to The National Trust. The records are compiled from many sources and do not conform to any one method.
