Quality Control
Data are of high quality. All otter spraint records have been verified using DNA testing.Method steps
- Experienced members of the MISE team led trained volunteers on surveys to find and collect otter spraints in selected survey sites. Spraints collected during an undergraduate project by students from Leeuwarden University are also included in the dataset. Spraints collected were subjected to DNA testing to verify the identity of the species of origin.
