Purpose
iNaturalist.org is a website where anyone can record their observations from nature. Members record observations for numerous reasons, including participation in citizen science projects, school projects, and personal fulfillment.

Data in the DNADerivedData extension is not subject to quality control. Sequences are capitalized, but are otherwise included verbatim. iNaturalist provides no way for users to verify that a sequence is similar to others associated with the same taxon or others associated with the same locus, nor does it enforce any formatting beyond capitalization.Method steps
