Lucanus furcifer Arrow, 1950: 46 –48, partim [“ Type (from Yunnan) in the British Museum” and specimens from “Yunnan”]; Bacchus, 1978: 109, partim [lectotype (Yunnan) and a pair of paralectotypes with same data as lectotype].
Lucanus pseudosingularis Didier & Séguy, 1953: 31, Figs. 3, 7 for male “ androtype ” from Yunnan, Fig. 5 for female “gynetype” from “Pe-yen-Tsin”; Lacroix, 1971: 362, Figs. 6, 6 b for males, Fig. 14 for female. New synonymy.
Lucanus singularis: Lacroix, 1971: partim [allotype male: Yunnan. coll. British Museum. “ type du Lucanus furcifer Arrow, synonyme de Lucanus singularis Planet ”] (misidentification).
