The Université de Montréal Biodiversity Centre, part of Institut de recherche en biologie végétale, is a centre of excellence in biodiversity research and training, and in the conservation and digitization of biological collections. Situated at the heart of the Montréal Botanical Garden, the Centre houses several plant, insect and fungal collections; cutting edge laboratories; an exhibition hall focused on biodiversity conservation and education; and the headquarters of the Canadensys network of biological collections (http://www.canadensys.net).
