Through research, production, transmission and dissemination of the scientific knowledge and history of the University of Coimbra it also assumes its role as an interface of the University activity. The Museum’s mission regarding natural history collections is in line with the Buffon Declaration agreed in Paris in 2007 by 93 natural history institutions from around the world.
