Description

The Portuguese Node of GBIF (GBIF Portugal) promotes the integration of Portuguese data providers and resources of biodiversity information on the GBIF network, and the availability of biodiversity data for the scientific research and societal needs. The node was established in 2013, hosted by the Instituto de Investigação Científica Trocpial (IICT). From 2015, the new host institution is Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA), which is the largest and most qualified school of graduate and post-graduate degrees in the Agricultural Sciences, in Portugal, with more than 160 years of experience. This publisher provides a data hosting service for datasets that cannot be registered by any other Portuguese institution.
