Description

The Botanical Society of Portugal is an environmental non-profit organization which aims to: a) promote the conservation of Portuguese flora and habitats; b) disseminate and promote the scientific and technical knowledge in the fields of botany, flora and vegetation, with particular focus on Portugal; c) foster the exchange of information between botanists, professionals and amateurs, regardless of their training; d) centralize chorological, morphological, ecological and photographic information of Portuguese and Mediterranean flora; e) encourage the application of scientific knowledge in the definition of management guidelines of habitats and species; f) foster the study of botany from primary school level to higher education.
