Polish Mycological Society is n non-governmental organization that main goal is to contribute to the development of Polish mycology and to strengthen its interdisciplinary character. The Society has been established in 2012. The PMS aims to raise the level of knowledge of the Society members and to support their research activities. It is contributing to the integration, the development of contacts between members, as well as to supporting the development of mycology infrastructure in Poland. Operating in the country inhabited by 'mycophiles', the Society aims at popularization of knowledge about fungi and is open to the needs of the culture and economy. Polish Mycological Society provides also a consultancy service relating to the field of mycology.
