North Dakota State University Herbarium

Description

The NDSU Herbarium was founded in 1890 and contains an estimated 250,000 collections of vascular plants dating back to the mid-1800s. The geographic and taxonomic emphasis of the collection is the Northern Great Plains region of North America. The herbarium houses collections from more than 70 countries spanning the globe, representing more than 200 families (2,500+ genera).
