The NGO Bien-Être et Développement Durable (NGO BEDD) was created in 2017 and officially recognized by the Beninese state on January 5, 2018 under the number: °2018/003/DEP-ALT/SG/SAG-Assoc and whose headquarters is located in the neighborhood Zogbadje, Abomey-Calavi, Republic of Benin. The mission of the NGO BEDD is to ensure the protection of biodiversity as a guarantee of stability and sustainability in time and space. Thus, since its creation until today, the NGO BEDD focuses on the popularization of the rational use of natural resources in the strict respect of environmental protection. Thus, within this framework, the NGO BEDD has carried out activities such as the collection of data in the forests and protected areas. Then, environmental education for learners on the benefits of conscious and rational management of biodiversity. Finally, awareness-raising activities for the communities living along the wetlands of the RAMSAR 1017 site in the sense of protecting the fauna and flora resources of this site are conducted frequently from 2018 to date.
