Wildlife Sightings in the City of Logan

GBIF publisher since
25 September 2019

Description

Council needs information about the distribution and numbers of different species occurring throughout the city in order to better manage them. We recognise that local knowledge is one of the most important sources of environmental information. Therefore, we would appreciate any sightings (or evidence) of threatened or locally significant wildlife you may have encountered in Logan. Examples of such species to report include Koalas, Platypus, Powerful Owls and Glossy Black Cockatoos. You may also provide records of any deceased animals, such as roadkill animals, as this information is also important. We are keen for this to be a whole community effort. Please note if you are submitting a sighting for a deceased animal and would like Council to collect the deceased animal please contact Council on 3412 3412. If you are submitting a sighting of an injured or sick animal please also immediately call the RSPCA Logan Wildlife Ambulance on 1300 ANIMAL (1300 264 265).
