Description

The UFMG is a federal university sponsored by the Brazilian government and located at Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. There are 19 academic units (schools and institutes) and the staff is formed by 4,445 employees (about 1,500 with doctoral degree) and 35,000 students distributed in 75 undergraduate and 121 graduate courses. UFMG is firmly established as a model of excellence in several areas, as computer science, medicine,biology, and houses 665 research groups.
