CONAP is a public entity, recognized for its effective work with other stakeholders in ensuring the conservation and sustainable use of Guatemala's protected areas and biological diversity. CONAP works for a Guatemala in which the country's natural and cultural heritage is preserved in harmony with social and economic development, where the connection between natural systems and the quality of human life is valued, and where the areas that support all forms of life persist for future generations.
