The Portuguese node, together with the Brazilian node, has been contributing to translating GBIF documents to facilitate the engagement of Portuguese and Brazilian communities, but also of other Portuguese-speaking countries.

This project is an initiative by GBIF Portugal to ensure that the fundamental documentation on node establishment and data mobilization is available in Portuguese and to promote GBIF in Angola, Mozambique and Guinea Bissau through seminars and conferences. The project builds on the Portuguese node’s existing relationships with these countries and will provide an opportunity for engaging new communities to GBIF and capacity enhancement on the early stages of establishing a node.
