The Institute of Marine Affairs was a recipient of funding from the 2021 Biodiversity Information for Development (BID) programme, the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF).
We are happy to announce that the GBIF Project Marine Biodiversity Hub is almost at its end, and we have been able to complete our objectives of making our marine data more accessible.
The IMA has developed an institutional database - The Marine Data Hub - to house marine data and successfully uploaded our marine biodiversity data on to the GBIF platform, which is freely available. IMA will be hosting a final seminar to raise awareness of IMA's biodiversity data on GBIF and to showcase IMA's Mate Data Hub.
