The 7th meeting of the GBIF African Nodes is organized by the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) and Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) on behalf of the Tanzania Biodiversity Information Facility (TanBIF).
Dr Leonard Akwilapo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Tanzania will open the meeting on 8 August 2018, and the Ministry's Director of Science, Technology and Innovation will close it on 9 August 2018. Nodes participants expect to develop shared strategies, actions and recommendations for enhancing and sustaining biodiversity data sharing and use in the region.
