Darwin Core & IPT Course in the University of Berkeley

Participants of the workshop will be introduced to Darwin Core 2.0 (DwC), the newly ratified TDWG standard for sharing biodiversity information. Subjects presented at the workshop are an overview of all terms in DwC 2.0, differences with older versions of DwC, Simple DwC, DwC Archives and DwC extensions.
The GBIF Integrated Publishing Toolkit (IPT) will be presented as a convenient way to publish biodiversity data as DwC. Participants will learn how to map, manage and publish datasets with IPT.
