The Albertine Rift Conservation Society - ARCOS (GBIF Participant since January 2010) held a three day training for data centres and selected NGOs in the region in biodiversity data collection, analysis and interpretation for long-term reporting, with the objective of developing a strategy for enhanced engagement in the production of the first Regional Biodiversity Report planned for September 2010.
Kyle Braak from the GBIF Secretariat participated in the meeting and provided insights on the organisation of biodiversity information networks and the underlying informatics infrastructure based in GBIF experience.
