Description

Piet Ruiter is a commercial fisherman in the Harbour of Amsterdam who is conducting fish monitoring commisioned by Waternet, Amsterdam Harbor and the City of Amsterdam. This monitoring project has started in 2012 and will continue in the future.

Method steps

  1. Dutch Grid Coordinates were transformed to WGS84 with the "Benaderingsformules voor de transformatie tussen RD- en WGS84-kaartcoördinaten" (http://www.dekoepel.nl/pdf/Transformatieformules.pdf) ScientificName and higher taxonomic groups were subtracted from WoRMS (http://www.marinespecies.org/)
