This dataset consists of occurrence records of moss and liverwort specimens housed at the South Pacific Regional Herbarium (SUVA), in Suva, Fiji. They are duplicate specimens collected mainly by visiting bryologists, Dr. Allan Fife, Dr. Matt Renner, and Dr. D. H. Norris on separate collecting events. Their field work was supported by local expertise from the South Pacific Regional Herbarium, the Ministry of Forestry, and local field guides.
Specimen collections were done on various localities on the islands of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Kadavu, and Taveuni, from coastal vegetation to cloud forests, in an effort to document and improve scientific knowledge of bryophyte diversity in Fiji.
Data mobilization is supported by the BID Pacific project "Mobilizing biodiversity data from natural history collections in Fiji" (BID-PA-2020-006-NAC).
