Birds of Drevlianskyi Nature Reserve (Zhytomyr administrative region of Ukraine) observed in 2018

Study Extent

Occurrence of animals was confirmed by personal observations of birds during nesting season. This dataset was prepared and published with the help of the Olin gGmbH foundation to preserve data on the biodiversity of Ukraine obtained by the Ukrainian scientists, who were forced to leave their homeland due to the war (Russia's invasion of Ukraine). Olin gGmbH is a funding organization for environmental protection and conservation that supports environmental and sociopolitical organizations.

Sampling

Data was collected by conducting point and transect counts in the nesting biotopes of the species. Georeferencing was done using GPS-tracker.

Quality Control

Author is fully responsible for the correctness of species identifications, birds number and georeferencing.

Method steps

1. Point counts and transect counts of birds in appropriate biotopes in breeding season.
2. Georeferencing with a GPS-tracker.
3. Organizing of the dataset according to Darwin Core standards.

The dataset consists of records of only representatives of Aves class.
