Information of the number of individuals of springtail species in soil samples collected in different types of tundra ecosystems (dwarf, moss, willow, spoted tundra, meadows, peats etc.) in 1999-2019. Data on about 8000 specimens of 47 species (60 soil samples, 6 biotops)from the Malozemelskaya tundra and 21118 specimens of 79 species (114 soil samples, 16 biotops) from Pechora Delta. In Kolguev island data from pitfall traps are presented.Sampling Description

Investigations of collembola fauna and population were carried out in maritime tundras near Velt river, on islands Chajachji and cape Kolokolkovsky Nose of Kolokolkova bay (the Barents sea coast, Malozemelskaya tundra) of Russia. Malozemelskay tundra is wavy plain, occupied by marshes and lakes, relief is presented by numerous elevations and beds. The climate is harsh, characterized by a long dark and cold winters and short cool summers. Here
47 collembola species of 27 genera and 9 families are recorded.
Also studies were carried out in terrestrial ecosystems of the Pechora Delta, i.e. Khabuika,Sanev,Erennoy Nos,Kostyanoy Nos,Kashin,Lovetsky and Bolvansky Nos. The Pechora is a ca. 2000 km long, non-regulated river in European Russia. Originating in the Ural mountains, it reaches the sea between the islands of Kolguev and Novaya Zemlya. Its vast coastal plain and delta area are largely undisturbed by human intervention. The unique geographical position between the European and Asian regions is the basis for a great biological diversity, which was already subject of study for specialists of the Russian Institute of Biology for many years.
