Angiosperms, also known as flowering plants, are a diverse group of vascular plants that form the vast majority of extant plant life. These plants are characterized by the presence of a flower, which is the reproductive structure that contains both the female and male reproductive organs. The life cycle of angiosperms is dominated by the diploid sporophyte stage, which is the familiar plant body we typically observe. A total of 3236 plant species has been preserved at Natural History Museum (NHM), TU, Nepal. These include four bryophytes, 13 pteridophytes, 4 gymnosperms and 3215 angiosperms. Among angiosperms, 543 specimens are of monocots and 2672 specimens are of dicots. These specimens were collected by different collectors from different part of Nepal including other countries like Colombia, India, Japan, and Srilanka. These specimens were either preserved in bottles with formalin and alcohol or dried herbarium. The collection was since1925 to 2019.Sampling Description
