A list of the tracheophyte names accepted in "A Checklist of Vascular Plants of Sakhalin Island" (Barkalov & Taran, 2004). The dataset was compiled as a first step towards further processing of the modern checklist for Sakhalin Island, Sakhalin Oblast, Russia.

Stable archival version (not edited, not curated).

The dataset includes 1,520 accepted species, subspecies and variety names (although the original source erroneously gives the figure of 1,521 taxa).

Several minor orthographic errors in either scientific names or their authors were corrected manually. Some names were not automatically cross-linked with the GBIF backbone.
