The collection of Miridae specimens comes mainly from Poland as documentation of many years of research by employees of the University of Silesia. In addition to taxa found in Poland, the collection also includes species from other European countries (France, Greece, the Netherlands, Finland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria). There is also a small group of individuals from the Neotropical, Afrotropical, Oriental, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand regions. These specimens were collected during scientific expeditions or some of the species were obtained as part of scientific exchange.Taxonomic Coverages
