Description

This Dataset shows the results of investigations of Volga river basin islands with respect to occurrences of Carrion beetles (Coleoptera, Silphidae) collected from pitfall traps.

Sampling Description

Study Extent

The study comprises all the territory of Volga River from the border of the Republic of Tatarstan to Teteevo village.

Sampling

Pitfall traps were used during the investigation. Plastic containers with a saline solution with the total number of 10 were placed at every plot at 10 metres distance from each other. The time of exposition was 5 days.

Method steps

  1. Collected animals were brought to the laboratory and processed according to investigation purposes.
