Discussion. The genus Apotrechus s. str. is restricted to Australia (see also discussion in Bland & Rentz 1991). Since until recently also some Asian species have been included in this genus, two illustrations of a female of the syntype series of A. unicolor are added (Fig. 39 H – I). That specimen is characterized by a huge head compared to the Chinese species described under this genus. The latter are very similar to species of the genus Apterolarnaca Gorochov, 2004. The main difference seems to be the straight instead of curved male hind tibiae. As I have not seen a specimen of the Chinese Apotrechus, I'll leave it to future investigators to study and proof the identity or the difference between both groups of species.
