Video: DQ01 Short introduction to biodiversity data quality and fitness-for-use
Laura Russell, member of the VertNet team (vertnet.org) presents an introduction to the concepts of biodiversity data quality and the fitness of a particular dataset or data record for a given use. She reviews the data publishing chain and highlights where are the most important steps where data quality loss may occur. She also reviews the different roles one can have regarding data management and use and how they relate to data quality.
This video was recorded during the training sessions associated to the 18th meeting of the GBIF Governing Board in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in October 2011.
