GBIF Darwin Core Archive, How-to Guide

This document is a how-to guide for creating a Darwin Core Archive, a data format used to
publish biodiversity data through the GBIF network.

Abstract

Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A) is an internationally recognised biodiversity informatics data
standard that simplifies the publication of biodiversity data. It is based on Darwin Core, a
standard developed and maintained by the Biodiversity Information Standards group. This document describes the format and presents options for its creation and publication within the GBIF network
