Dear Participants,

The 1st meeting of the Pro Bono Legal Expert Group (PROLeg) of GBIF will be held 18-19 September 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark. A total of 10 experts on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) from around the world will meet to provide key advice to GBIF on IPRs aspects regarding biodiversity data, including licensing agreements. The recommendations made by these international experts will be presented at the forthcoming GBIF Governing Board Meeting (GB13)
