The GBIF training plans are designed by the GBIF Secretariat to build upon the needs of the GBIF community and what is required to efficiently implement the GBIF Work Programmes.
GBIF 2012 Training Plan
The 2012 training plan is composed of the following elements:
- A call for regional training support
An annual call addressed to GBIF Participants to financially support the regional component of a training event (up to 5000 EUR per event).
- A set of expected outcomes for 2012
This includes resources (documents, presentations, eLearning), planned events and new language and experts networks.
- A training assessment for 2012-2013
Continuing with the exercise started in 2010, the Nodes will be contacted to make sure that future training plans and resources cover the needs of the GBIF community.
- The definition of a training program for GBIF Nodes
A bi-annual programme addressed and specifically designed for node managers will be developed, in collaboration with the Nodes committee.
