Description of the event:
Associated to the ‘Capacity Building for Conservation’ congress will be a number of free workshops about Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial distribution modelling and the R package, and species and ecosystem red lists, among other topics.
The workshops will be led by representatives from well-established GBIF partners such as IUCN, Bioversity International or the Humbold Institute.

Number of participants and target audience:
Conservation practitioners from NGO and private sector organisations, government agencies and departments, private sector trainers (professional development), tertiary and further education providers and academics, researchers and students.
