A Nodes Portal Toolkit (NPT) designed to help Nodes to deploy national, regional or thematic biodiversity webportals using GBIF data.

The Nodes community is developing the Nodes Portal Toolkit (NPT) as a bioinformatics solution to help Nodes publish the primary biodiversity data which is relevant to their National, Regional or Thematic context.

The tool will be able to harvest relevant data from the GBIF webportal, and will allow to show it online using a customizable dataportal. Built in such a way that it is fully extensible and modular, the NPT will allow the using the new Darwin Core Archive standard in the future.
