Abstract: For the purpose of outreach, the present brochure intends to provide the following introductory information in Japanese. 1) Why biodiversity information is important, how is it used? 2) What is GBIF, what is it doing? Fundamental function of GBIF portal site. 3) A look at the data provided by GBIF summarizing the data provided in the Annual Report. 4) Organization of GBIF and regionalization. 5) Introduction to Japan node (JBIF) with its structural over view. Strategy of JBIF. 6) Domestic network called "S-Net" (Science Museum Net) supporting the data provision, with a map showing the location of participants. 7) Introduction to the portal sites of JBIF and S-Net.
