Abstract: The II Regional Meeting of Latin-American Nodes (GBIF-LATAM), was carried out from May 13 to May 15, 2010 in Cusco Peru and had as principal objectives, to formulate participatively a list of complementary priorities or recommendations for Latin America region to the work plain of the GBIF 2011, as well as the joint production of a Work Plain for the Network GBIF - LATAM nodes. During the first day, there were checked the scopes of the GBIF secretariat in the region as well as precedents and agreements of the I MEETING GBIF-LATAM, referring to the need for promote the regionalization process (scheme, functioning and institutionalization) for decentralization of opportunities, resources, improving somehow participation, communication and access to used information resources (CIRCA) means between the nodes and the GBIF secretariat. During the rest of the first day one proceeded to presentation of implementing advances of Latin-American nodes. Following day, it proceeded with joint review of the Work Plain 2011 and to Strategic Plans 2012-2017 of the GBIF secretariat, putting emphasis in results or activities related directly to the Network GBIF - LATAM, there were formed workgroups divided in 3 aspects: participation or training, technologies and informatics and finally, knowledge and information group. Later, diverse regional initiatives in management of information and knowledge were invited to expose their objectives and reached results, with the purpose of improving the scene for later synergies to regional level. For elaborate the Regional Work Plan of the Network GBIF-LATAM, there were made a list of the expectations, topics and limits (priorities of the region), as the case of the participative processes for skills and capacities development , interchange of experiences and decisions makings, effective synergies for the mobilization of data, metadata, e-learning, as well as how to improve communication processes between the secretariat and region, as well as the support to the identification of financing initiatives. The last part consisted in review or joint feedback of agreements and recommendations formulated to the GBIF Secretariat’s Work Plan and Strategic Plan, as well as the approval of the agreements, including Mr Victor Miyakawa Solis (Node Peru) designation as representative of the Network LATAM in the Governing Board meeting which will be held on 12-14 October 2010 in Suwon
