Abstract: It is crucial to engage newly appointed Node Managers in the GBIF network, making them aware of the opportunities, resources and support available to them as part of this global community.The GBIF Welcome Box (WBox) aims to provide all new Participant Node Managers and their teams with a complete package of documentation and tools, specifically designed to introduce them to GBIF, and to assist in taking the first steps towards establishing a Biodiversity Information Facility (BIF).
