GNA Profile

The GNA Profile is an international standard for sharing taxonomic data that is based on the Darwin Core Archive format: a text-based data standard.   The GNA profile provides a data standard suitable for sharing annotated species checklist and taxonomic catalogue information.   This includes the means to publish and share:

• Detailed Synonymy (Taxonomic and Nomenclatural)
• Vernacular Names
• Species Descriptions
• Species Distribution
• Threat Status
• Bibliography
• Images and other multimedia
