Freshwater Animal Diversity Assesment checklists :

The Freshwater Animal Diversity Assesment (FADA; fada.biodiversity.be) is an emerging database specifically dealing with freshwater organisms. This database is currently further extended and developed as a taxonomic backbone for the data portal of the FP7 BioFresh-­?project www.freshwaterbiodiversity.eu. In total, our database contains over 31’000 species (accepted scientific names) belonging to 13 large taxonomic groups. Database of Vascular Plants of Canada (VASCAN):

A comprehensive list of all vascular plants reported in Canada, Greenland (Denmark) and Saint Pierre and Miquelon (France). VASCAN is literature-based, though recent additions are sometimes specimen-based.For every species, subspecies and variety in VASCAN we provide the accepted scientific name (Latin), the accepted French and English vernacular name, and their synonyms/alternatives in Canada. We indicate the distribution status (native, introduced, etc.) of the plant for each province or territory, and the habit (tree, shrub, herb or vine) of the plant in Canada. For reported hybrids (nothotaxa or hybrid formulas), we also provide the hybrid parents, except for introduced hybrids. We refer to a source for all name, classification and distribution information. All taxa are linked to a classification. We follow Smith et al. (2006) for ferns, APG III (2009) for flowering plants and Chase and Reveal (2009) for the higher taxonomy. We do not provide core information (synonyms, vernacular names, etc.) for most higher taxa (above species), but we do calculate a distribution and habit based on lower taxa.

Checklist of all organisms (including viruses, excluding fossil taxa), synthesised from contributing global species checklists (GSDs). Coverage is global, so far (in October 2010) including 70% of estimated 1.8m known species, including synonyms (with bibliographic references), infra-specific taxa, up to seven levels of higher taxa, no type specimens, and LSIDs for species and higher taxon concepts. Depending on the GSD, common names, distribution (free text), and limited descriptive data are included.

Database of World Neuropterida:

A detailed taxonomic database of the insect superorder Neuropterida (orders Neuroptera, Megaloptera, and Raphidioptera) of the world. Includes data on both extant and fossil taxa (ca. 6300 valid species, ca. 9500 available species-group names, ca. 18,000 genus-/species-group combinations; ca. 1700 available genus-group names). Original publication data have been personally confirmed for 99+% of all available names. Some data on primary types is available for ca. 60% of available species-group names.
